How it works at Paradise Dental

Smile design starts with data, not guesswork. At our clinic on the 22nd floor of Burj Al Salam — a five-minute walk from World Trade Centre Metro on Sheikh Zayed Road — your records visit combines an iTero digital scan of your teeth and bite, a series of calibrated photographs, and short video clips of you speaking and laughing. Teeth that look right in a static photo can look wrong in motion, so we study how your lips move across your teeth in real conversation. When implants or structural changes are part of the plan, 3D CBCT imaging maps the underlying bone as well. Our DHA-licensed cosmetic dentists then evaluate the proportions that make a smile read as natural: tooth length-to-width ratios, gum line symmetry, the dental midline relative to your face, and how much tooth shows at rest.

Are you a candidate?

Smile design earns its place when you are changing several teeth at once — porcelain veneers, crowns in the front of the mouth, gum reshaping, or implants in the aesthetic zone. It is equally valuable if you are simply hesitant: committing to irreversible treatment is much easier once you have worn a preview of the result. It is not necessary for a single filling or routine whitening. One honest caveat: design is a planning layer, not a treatment. Active gum disease or decay must be stabilized first, because a beautiful design built on unhealthy foundations will not last.

From screen to trial smile to final result

The trial smile is the step patients value most. The design is transferred to a temporary overlay seated on your teeth without any drilling, so you can check it in a mirror, on video, and in daylight — not just on a monitor. You give feedback, we refine, and only the version you approve becomes the fabrication blueprint. Because the final restorations are milled or crafted to that exact blueprint — including CEREC same-day milling for suitable crowns — the design phase directly controls the quality of the end result. There is no single price for smile design, because the design itself is inseparable from the plan it produces. The main cost drivers are the number of teeth involved, whether gum contouring or whitening is bundled in, the materials chosen for veneers or crowns, and laboratory fees. Be aware that most UAE insurers classify smile design as elective cosmetic work, so it is rarely covered; where a medically necessary component exists (such as replacing failing crowns), our team pre-verifies with direct-billing partners including Daman, AXA, Cigna, and Bupa Global before you commit to anything.
