Aligners work only when worn 20–22 hours a day, so the habit matters more than the technology. A few Dubai-specific tips from our clinical team:

• Remove aligners for karak, coffee, and any hot drink — heat can warp the plastic, and dark liquids stain it.
• Never leave your aligner case in a parked car. Summer cabin temperatures here are high enough to deform aligners; keep them in your bag, indoors, in air conditioning.
• Rinse with cool water only, and brush before reinserting after meals.
• During Ramadan, aligners pair well with fasting: wear them through the day and plan your eating window around iftar and suhoor, reinserting after brushing.

Cost, insurance, and payment plans

Most UAE health insurance policies classify orthodontic treatment as elective, so coverage is less common than for general dentistry — but it does exist on some premium plans. Bring your policy details to your consultation: we direct-bill Daman, AXA, Cigna, Bupa Global, Allianz Care, Oman Insurance, Neuron, Nextcare, and Mednet where your plan applies, and MetLife members can claim by reimbursement. After the aligners: keeping your result

Teeth drift for years after any orthodontic treatment, so retention is not optional. Your final stage includes retainers and instructions on wear time, and your treatment is backed by our 12-month guarantee. Alternatives worth considering

Aligners are not the answer for every case. Severe rotations, large bite discrepancies, or significantly impacted teeth often respond faster and more predictably to traditional or ceramic braces, and some patients benefit from a combination approach — braces first, aligners to finish. Active gum disease must also be stabilized before any tooth movement begins.
